I was always told to salute those things. You felt a bit stupid but I obeyed that unwritten law anyway whenever I saw a magpie. I don't know where this superstition came from xxx
Me too! When I was in labour I saw 2!! No need to salute for that thank goodness! Non superstitious folk think I'm right stupid if they hear me saluting but what can I do?! I can't help myself! I see them all the time outside my window - live my days going "hello, hello, hello, hello...!"
